quick fix for Cluttered Backgrouds

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

this article over at PhotoDoto talks about, and shows you how to make your photo backgrounds less cluttered. Its a very nice piece and has both before and after shots, which allow you to see what has changed. there are a few photos in my collection which would need touch ups like this, and i should really play more with PhotoShop to work out how to do them.

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Something i dont do that regulary is printing. i prefer soft copy of my photos, which i have on multiple devices and my website for freinds and family, and anyone else, to see. But there is the odd photo which i do want or need printing. Inside Aperture has a post showing you how to automate printing from Aperture via Photoshop. From reading the article, Photoshop talks to printers differently to the way Aperture does. More control? One of these days i will find out!

Do Aperture users need Photoshop?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

A question on the Inside Aperture blog made me think: Do Aperture users need Photoshop? Well, that was their question, and mine was, photowhat?! :) I haven’t needed to use Photoshop in a while. Aperture does all I need it to do. I suppose I don’t need to do half the stuff the author of the post does, which makes me wonder if I am missing something. Should I bite the bullet and try out Photoshop? is it something I should spend time learning? Comments welcome, now that they work well! :)

But, anyway, this article over at Oreilly’s Inside Aperture goes into some of the new things in CS3 and what they mean for Aperture users. Check it out.
